@bigbear - Duplicati is a free option for backing up to B2. I have not personally used it with B2 but seems to be very flexible with various storage platforms.

Has anyone used the WF40 wifi adapter with a T42S? The instructions say to plug in the USB adapter when the phone is powered on and it will prompt you to connect to a wifi network. When I do this there is no prompt. The phone is being powered by a power injector through the Ethernet port. I am not sure if that is the reason for not getting the prompt. Possibly you have to have a regular AC adapter for this to work??? There should also be a Wifi menu option under Basic Settings but that does not exist either.
Sorry I know this is a vague question but has anyone seen or know what Remote (Socket Error) refers to on Exchange 2013?
The logs on the receive connector show everything is ok up until the part where is should say message queued for delivery. Instead is says Remote(Socket Error).
This seems to only be happening when one sender tries to email us. All other external email seems to be fine. The mail flows like this:
The external spam filter is passing the message. I have whitelisted the senders address both at the external filter as well as on the Exchange server. Not sure why our server is not liking messages from this sender.
Any thoughts???
Thanks
I have 2 clients that are both currently on SBS2011 (Server 2008R2 and Exchange 2010). What is the preferred method to migrate to O365 Hosted Exchange? In the past I have always just exported PST files and the recreated email accounts online and then imported the PSTs. This method seems to work alright with the exception of cached autofill accounts that we usually just clear from Outlook. I was looking at the option of using Azure AD Sync and then moving the mailboxes but seems like more effort than what is needed. The file shares are being moved to Sharepoint/OneDrive and the server is going away. Anyways, what is your typical migration plan? The clients have about 15 accounts a piece.

Is there any difference in quality between Dell's versus HP's small micro computers?
Any difference in the Windows installations on these?
I run with both as well. The HPs tend to be cheaper than the Dells which is a plus. I have the Ryzen5 models for the HP elite desks and my only complaint with those are the fans kick on frequently and are a little noisy. The Dells you never hear the fan on.
I believe on a smartphone you can store the number followed by a comma and then the extension number. The comma causes a pause and then completes the extension afterwards.
@jaredbusch said in Samsung (android) device not syncing the calendar with O365:
Site is O365 SMB $12.50 plan Email + apps. Has been for a couple years now.
Most employees have company iPhones.
But a few high level users use personal devices. One has a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. Email works fine, but the calendar app does not.
The Exchange account is the only calendar active. the rest are unselected. New events created on the phone are not showing up in Outlook's calendar (using Outlook via the web GUI not Outlook desktop app).
I created an event for this afternoon on her device and it does not show up.
I check the sync status (and hit sync now) in both the Calendar app and in the settings app.
Nothing.
Any hints on how to troubleshoot?
Nothings seems to update.
I doubt this is it, but I had a client that had about 8 ActiveSync devices (old phones and tablets) still registered under their account. Email and calendar stopped syncing until we removed some of the old devices.
@guyinpv - Take a look at www.erpnext.com
It has great features that tick a lot of the boxes you are requesting. Best part it's open source - (free if self hosted). They even have a VM preloaded with the software.
That makes me feel better about going forward with purchasing from them. From what I have read here and on SW, xbyte seems to have great support. That plus the direct support from Dell is reassuring. I've always had the fear of buying a refurb server, spending all this time setting it up, and then having early hardware failures.
If it does continue to disconnect, possibly update the firmware on all devices to the latest.
Just a quick follow up on this:
The client called Microsoft and it was confirmed that the license is valid. However, I don't think all the details were discussed. I came to my own conclusion based on the following article.
https://rcpmag.com/articles/2015/10/02/office-2016-confusion.aspx
Main points:
Microsoft uses a slightly different Office 2016 product name for its volume licensing customers, labeling it "Office 2016 Professional Plus."
Koenigsbauer noted that Home Use Program users can install Office 2016 "beginning on October 7, 2015." The Home Use Program is a benefit for Microsoft's volume licensing customers with Software Assurance coverage that provides a discount for employees licensed to use Office at work. They can purchase Office copies for use at home but the software is only good for use throughout the time of their employment and the company's Software Assurance coverage period.
Basically someone is reselling the Professional Plus (HUP) copies that are intended for employees of companies with Volume Licensing.

Create a VoIP.ms account and set everything up there. it can all be done with time conditions and IVRs.
Interesting...I didn't know that voip.ms had all those features. I have only briefly looked at flowroute.
I check out the Zentyal forums every so often to see what's new and the development has gone down dramatically. They seemed to have lost a lot of their community due to moving their focus more onto their paid product.
A lot of their community jumped ship to nethserver.org and clearos.org. Both currently have Samba AD in beta.

@scottalanmiller So should I destroy this SR and try to create it as EXT3? and if I do can I migrate a thick provision vm over to a thin provisioned host?
Migration should be fine, but I've not done it. Should you be ext3? That's up to you
My question is converting the storage to thin going to break my VM's if I import them from a Thick provisioned system...
If you don't have the answer, just say so.
Don't quote me on this but I believe your VM's would be fine. Thin provisioning is just the way the virtual disk is created and expands as the internal data grows. If you migrate a VM that was created with thick provisioning, it would just stay in that state of using all the disk space you assigned to it.
Does Zimbra require an additional plugin to work with ActiveSync or is it already baked in the software? I have seem posts about Z-Push but wasn't sure if that is something that has to be installed afterwards.
Again I didn't get too far with it but they appear to have their own web ui.
@guyinpv - All the same functionality can be achieved by setting up a Samba AD server. Zentyal just provides a nice web interface to configure everything. However, if you look at the forum posting over the last year the product has been loaded with bugs.
@guyinpv - Really a Synology or ReadyNAS would accomplish everything for you. Again, nothing more than Linux with a nice GUI to manage.

Hmmmm according to this it seems that it may already be available. http://www.advancedmd.com/blog/advancedmd-for-any-browser-a-sneak-peek
Last time I checked it failed to login from Chrome and had a message saying that it will be available soon.
