Just checking out the neighboring access points around my UNIFI network.

--over 310 unique SSIDs in the vicinity in the past 30 days.--

All but 34 of them were on channel 1

Only 6 were unsecured.

All traffic was 2G

Spent a 12hr day working on a 200amp service entrance, and main panel installation, a new 50amp stove circuit, as well as a new dishwasher circuit. I'm whooped!

I didn't make it out there. But I have been sick now since the 7th of sept. And now it came back around for a 2nd stronger wave before even remotely clearing up.

I was able to get to 13 slaps\sec. That was about it. Screen was red, and the red alert siren was going off.

Just finished working in my office. I removed some networking gear, and added a ubnt edgerouter with poe for my UAP's now it's all reconfigured and everything is back up and running.

I just got my workstation back up and running. I have been working from my laptop for the past month and a half. I still need to adjust the mount a bit. It's dipping on the right a bit. I think it's finally time to balance the mount out with the last monitor.

Having taken my PC to NTG-HQ, I've re-discovered I could have at least two more monitors than I have... I think...

so I believe it's time to add to mine by adding another 24" ASUS

I love going to customers offices and figuring out what they do, and how to better help them.

Things they never realized they wanted they now own. Like dual monitor setups. They love how much better than can operate over one.

I still have yet to see swordfish. My late friend recommended it to me. I just haven't ever had a chance to follow up on that.

I've got two and I'm only just about ready to try three.

I operated with 5 monitors for close to 4 years now. It takes some getting used to. I have the top 3 that are able to offer "eyefinity" it is great for gaming. But I don't do that... like ever.

I like it because I use the two middle screens for "right now workspace" and when I have something I need to babysit I place it off to the side. But I can look at a glance to know what's going on.

I used to have the same issue. I had all my services hosted in my network, and would rely on my unreliable Isp connection. I would normally use dyn.com to manage my name. That made it easier. But ultimately the best thing was when I moved my equipment into the DC. I have a static IP, and a much better Isp connection. I also use screenconnect to remote so any rules can be set based on my dc, and not my ever changing ip at home.

How much are you paying and what equipment are you housing in the DC?

I paid what ever the basic rate is for dyn. When I had them.

For the server in the DC.

I was running a win 2012 r2

I provisioned 3 cpu, and 4 gb of ram w\60gb of raid 10 storage.

I was hosting my:

Comodo endpoint security interface
Ubiquiti controller
Spiceworks
Screenconnect

That config cost me $105\mth

I have since broken apart the windows server and have 2 ubuntu server vms one is running Screenconnect and the other the Ubiquity controller.

I will be splitting the rest of the windows server apart more. I just need more time.

It will cost less with that config because the windows and cpu liscense cost is twice that of the Linux cpu cost.

There is a $5 fee per static ip which will cost a total of $20 alone for all the servers.

I can't imagine pulling the trigger on software with that type of requirement and it does lead me to believe that they are not actively developing and I would never have confidence in their ability to maintain/support the product, let alone grow with my organization's needs.

I had a software vendor (existing) for one of my customers. As I learned about their product, and what was supported, and not. Then finding out that basic industry standards were unavailable I advised the customer against the solution.
To be fair to the software vendor this was a legacy solution from the early 90s. And the customer didn't like change. The vendor had updated offerings that included what was needed and advisable. He eventually switched when they EOL'd his solution and all support.
