Guess i was right about that.
Shortly Ill be posting about the $0 price of btc, stay tuned.

I have a movie pass, got in on some deal and got a year of it for like $90.00, already have seen like 15 movies on it so I am ahead even if they go bust. They keep changing the terms of service which is frustrating. It used to be, any movie, any showtime, only once. Now it is only certain movies and certain showtimes. So for me, it is now useless because none of the showtimes ever match up with when I want to see a movie. Which is usually the early showings on Saturday like 11 am to 1 pm. I didn't think it would last but I thought at $90.00 I would most likely be ahead of it before it went bust. A gamble, but it did pay off.

I honestly don't watch anything hardly anymore other than youtube, which will consist mostly of my gun channels I like to watch, going to the shooting range is a hobby of mine. I will watch Doctor Who, Star Trek (any Star Trek), and a couple other things. But usually, it is just before I go to bed. I have a hard time turning my brain off at night so I need to focus on something that is familiar, like Star Trek. So I really don't consider myself watching Star Trek as much as falling asleep to the comfort of Star Trek. I have seen them all so many times that I don't honestly have to watch it to see it. I just hear it while my eyes are shut and I can imagine it perfectly. Which allows me to disengage my brain and fall asleep.

Meshing is for when you have APs that need to extend from other APs. If they are all wired in, this would be a negative.

That is exactly what I was thinking.

    • Ubiquiti Access Points question

Have any of you used the "Allow meshing from other access points". See the picture below. What are the advantages or disadvantage of this? All access points are hardwired and there are plenty of access points for coverage, so I am thinking that we don't need this.

@jmoore we had some Optiplex 7010's that had the Intel Accelerated Graphics Video card. There is software that accompanied it that allowed you to change the orientation of the screen. When someone did a save as in Microsoft Excel 2013, it was trigging the hotkeys for the graphics software hotkeys and putting the monitor into portrait mode.

I watched Dead Men Tell No Tales last night. It was awful.

Here is a Studio C skit. It has a part that is very relevant to your statement on that movie.

I am actually looking at starting a furniture business with my Dad. Making custom furniture. We are starting it in my spare time and hopefully can move to it full time in about 10 years.

Rumours of the Google Pixel 3.

I have a Google Pixel 2XL. A good phone, definitely top notch. I only have it because work provides me with a phone and they are with Verizon so that is how I got it. If they didn't I would still be with probably an LG phone. I honestly am thinking about going to the smallest Andriod phone I can get that still has a decent processor. Andriod Auto needs a good phone to work properly.

I have the same phone and I love it.

I love it too. No problems with it. I am just to the point that I am almost never without my tablet. So my phone just needs to be for communicating and only doing work when absolutely necessary. So I just don't like the bulk of the bigger phone anymore.

@penguinwrangler Dry Tortugas looks really cool.

I am a huge history buff, I am actually only a semester away from my history degree (maybe I will finish someday). Dry Tortugas (called dry because there is no freshwater there) was where the conspirators of the Lincoln Assination were kept. I grew up and still live in Illinois and anything to do with Lincoln I find interesting.

I'm a history buff, too. But lean towards European history.

I have been getting more into European History than I have before.

      How It Ends on Netflix.

      That sounded interesting.

It was ok but I wouldn't spend a dime to go see this at the theater.

Frankly I'm getting tired of the steady diet of apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic movies/tv shows.

They come and go in cycles like everything from Hollywood. Most suck.

Revolution was an interesting concept. But the science behind it was so horribly unbelievable.
Nanites suppressing EMF? How do the maintain their own power? How do they communicate with the satellites and each other? Just WTF.

Then the whole magic pendant that suppresses them locally. When it turns off to check in generator that has not run in years can suddenly run on? WTF?

Most apocalyptic movies deal with the most prevalent fears at the time. This can be seen in Zombie movies for example. What causes people to become Zombies has shifted over time. When I was growing up during the cold war it was always radiation, i.e. a fear of Nuclear war. Then it shifted to biological causes, i.e. fear of a bioweapon in the hands of a terrorist. Read a great paper by two grad students, one was studying psychology and one was a film student who highlighted this trend, this was years ago. Applicable to all disaster/end of the world movies? Probably not but still it was pretty easy to see the trend they highlighted.

None of that matters. What matters is that the stories suck.

I don't care how the zombie was made as long as it is consistent and the cause does not suck so bad as to break my suspension of disbelief.

I didn't say that what I stated did matter to the quality of the movie or how much I liked it as a movie or how much I would want to watch it. I was just merely pointing out an interesting study on disaster/apocalyptic movies and society in general.

@jackcpickup We are doing a cabin. We have four kids so cabins are cheaper and we can bring our dog with us. This should be our view. I will enjoy it in the morning while I soak in the hot tub!
