Not around here.

In our highschool (that @Minion-Queen and I went to) we had a few students die because they didn't close the school when obviously they needed to and there was no safe way to get to school from even right across the street, even on foot... but they still kept not closing them.

I would rather them close at the drop of a hat than not at all when they should. Safety should come first.

I am not on medication because I went home afterward and went to sleep. The dentist told me it should be about an hour and a half procedure. It took FOUR FLIPPING HOURS. Apparently, I am resistant to novocaine. They used over six times the normal amount. Had to drip it right onto the nerve multiple times. It kept wearing off quickly. Then the tooth wouldn't stop bleeding. My jaw hurts from being open for four hours and where they kept sticking the needle to numb me. Reminded me of my vasectomy and how they forgot to numb me and then starting cutting.....

For my side business, I do tenths of an hour. I come from Legal IT background though and that is how Lawyers charge so I go with what I know.

Yeah, Rochester is bigger and richer than Omaha. And Omaha is isolated, but Rochester has a larger metro just one hour away on one side, and a smaller metro less than two hours away on the other. It's actually a really smart location. Will service about 3.5 million people

St. Louis has had one for a couple of years now. It too has about 3.5 Million people in the entire metropolitan area and they placed it almost dead center in the area so anyone can get to it easily. My wife is from Omaha, and I totally get why you guys don't have one. Your population is so small but yet I have never seen sprawl like I have in Omaha, it is endless suburbs. It is so damn depressing. You have a problem when someone from St. Louis, MO tells you that your town is depressing.

This is what I have done in the past for myself and my friends/family. I setup a SSID for parents and then sometimes a SSID for each child. That way the parent can turn off the internet for one child and not bother the other children. Of course I always think that the punishment imposed by the children on other children for everyone losing internet because of the actions for one is a great way to get them to behave.

The I Cant Even thread has been dumb since day 1. Fairly certain i have 0 posts in that one. If you want to say how wrong someone is go post in the thread they made(you all have user id there) and 'say it to their faces', not on some other site where they have no user id and no way to defend themselves.

I have posted original content to that thread of things I found on site as a consultant. Sometimes we find stuff so bad we need to share. It serves as a reference to anyone new to IT that a garden hose should not be considered conduit.
