@Jimmy9008 I don't know the specifics for HyperV, I know that the free Veeam product requires that a VMWare host be licensed to expose the backup API, I didn't think that the same principle applied for HyperV but could be mistaken.

It does not as there is no such thing as a Hyper-V license.

That's what I thought, but my only experience with Hyper-V has been to export a VM and then wipe the host

@Jimmy9008 Since it's a vm, do you have the option to capture at the VM or hypervisor storage level? Something like Xen-Orchestra or Veeam Zip?

We tested Meraki and the hardware was underpowered, we were looking to use the MX64 and MX84 as at our smaller locations but the VPN performance back to the HO was garbage. If you're just looking for SD-WAN it might be OK, but overall they left me with the impression of having lots of sizzle and not enough steak.

@Jimmy9008 Just guessing here, but it probably has something to do with the Windows agent using VSS to capture an exact "moment in time" for the backup. To achieve the same result the linux one would require something like btrfs integration or another snapshot-type mechanism. Assuming that the linux agent is simply doing a file copy and the db is still live during the copy, the backed-up data is not being captured in a consistent state and ends up as a useful as a bowl of puke.

As far as other tools... is this a physical machine or a VM?

On the way to the store to get gas. We're due to get a foot of snow by tonight. Gotta fire up the snowblower

It's supposed to hit us tomorrow and Monday. At one point the warning was 20 to 60 cm (8 to 24 inches if my mental arithmetic isn't too far off)

It doesn't look like it's going to lose strength as it moves east. Good luck.

The wintry mix that was supposed to stay south -- didn't. I ran the snowblower this afternoon when we had 4 inches of snow. I went outside around 7:30 tonight and there was another 4 inches of snow turned to slush. It's still drizzling cold freezing stuff. Fun times tomorrow.

It's only supposed to start here early to mid-morning tomorrow, but this whole 50-75 cm BS sucks.... it's stupid cold right now too, down to almost -40 with the wind chill overnight tonight

@DustinB3403 The github issue was closed out before I could interject... I added to the thread and they seem to be saying that it might be something else... still going to try creating a new job, might be simpler than redoing the XO install
