The issue comes down to the fact that people are naturally trusting. The lack of natural suspicioun precludes peoples motives to look for what might be wrong with the system.

I trust everyone about as far as I can throw them (before I get to know them or if they buy me beer I trust them instantly)

IT personal are generally not in the same boat as the normal population.

Yeah we drink moonshine straight, and our boat actually flies above the water, and we have magical wands we just wave over problems to make them go away.

I use a sonic screwdriver not a wand.

Could you run AD Cert Services with LE. Get the trusted cert for your ca every 60 days, then have the AD CS auto renew certs for your internal servers.

    • RE: Win10 File History giving me the fits!

File History, is this a new name for Previous Versions?
      Yes I see it is.
      So it uses vss.
Can you move the FileHistory folder to a network share/other storage, then move them back to this computer, then setup FileHistory again(or not).

Or can you just copy the files/folders from the usb drive to the local hdd, then set it all up again

@scottalanmiller How would he even have access to his competitor's emails? Is he hosting them?

    • RE: Map Drive Script - Check for Drive letter in use

I think the first M: would be an empty sd card reader or something similar
It exists, so the network share would be mapped to N:

Least that is what I imagined he wants to do.

I was thinking he just wants to check the logs for their own email history from that person that took a job with their competitor. I think. Like using Get-AgentLog or the Tracking Explorer.

    • RE: How do I mount this as a SR in XenServer 6.5

      @DustinB3403
      xe sr-introduce uuid=41365a56-2219-26df-5453-8a45ffef1b74 type=lvm name-label="Local Storage" content-type=user

Or I guess type could be ext3 if that's what yorue wanting to use.

    • RE: More reasons to never do business with Intuit

I had to try and find a key for QuickBooks here, what a nightmare. Didn't have the login for their online site, and getting a confirm sent by phone was impossible due to them only being able to send text message to the registered phone on the account. Or an automated call. the phone is an ip phone that cant get texts and is answered by an attendant, so neither of those worked.
So I had to call them. Or it, rather. Had some very nice and unhelpful computer voice tell me to talk to it like a normal person. Not happening. Hitting 0 doesn't work. Infuriated, I hung up, and proceeded to search through years of old email to find the key. Eventually found the key in an old file folder in a file cabinet.
Really wish we could get away from it.

    • RE: How Complete is XenServer Really

Im no Tobias Kreidl, but my experience with XS is great so far. I only have XO free right now so i cant speak to that, although it looks great and even the free version helped me solve some problem i had after live storage move failed.
I had a problem when i started here that had existed for years with storage timeouts; i fixed that and it really just goes now. It has live migration and live storage migration built in. Upgrades every 3 weeks or so. Lots of new stuff has been added since 6.2>7
Live storage migration dose mess up quite a bit though; it is best to shutdown a vm and then move the storage that way.

Long as youre not trying to do the usb boot thing and use lvm there should be 0 problems in my experience.

Yes, I agree. You could just increase the ova size then extend the logging lvm to give yourself more free space.

@DustinB3403 If you are using drive letters to do this, just map a drive
