From what I understand (which is not much, lol), this server is what every workstation and user account on the domain gets its certificate from.

      Which certificates would those be?

When I look at the Certification Authority console on the server, and I look at "issued certificates", I see line items like this:
"Request ID", "Requester Name", "Certificate Template", "Certificate Effective Date", "Certificate Expiration Date", etc, and I see a bunch of workstations listed.

I wonder if you just shut it off if anything bad happens.

We had a cert server running here when I started. Couldn't figure out what is was issuing certs for. I shut it down and... nothing happened.
OP might want to check event logs on cert server and workstations as they boot up and log in to the network. Could be radius authentication for the workstations.

I think the blame sits with using it a few days too long.

The glass isn't half empty or half full, the glass was too big.

Yes I suppose that's correct. I should have retired it sooner, but it was for me a bit like that Seinfeld episode where Kramer takes a new car for a test drive and wants to see how long he can go with the tank on E.
Also, someone(s) who worked here from 2010-2015 should have done that way before I started. But they(all of them) didn't do anything, for nearly ten years.

Yea, at least in IE you can change settings to get things working. Edge just lets you... add sites to your favorites list. If a page doesnt load correctly in Edge, this is what you can do:

    • RE: Wordpress on Vultr 768

Have you checked to see if these files exist and are correct size? Have you checked the .cnf file
InnoDB: Error: log file ./ib_logfile0 is of different size 0 5242880 bytes
InnoDB: than specified in the .cnf file 0 8388608 bytes!

Check your cnf file to see that it is correct. Rename/move ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1 (they'll get recreated when the service starts again)

The original Mission Impossible show is on Prime now. I had never seen an episode of it. Now ive seen about 35 out of 160. Formulaic, but good action and schemes usually. Very not violent; they rarely kill anybody and usually accomplish the mission using illusion, deception, and tech.

Hulu is what the dinosaur broadcast and cable ISP companies dream of turning the internet into. You pay a sub fee and still have to watch unskippable commercials(some are even interactive). it is owned by Fox NBC et al, and I wont ever pay them money.
