Can anyone recommend a youtube video downloader that won't infect your computer?
As far as Gmail and Chrome, you can set Chrome to open a set of pages at start up. Just have each account open to its own tab and you're set.
Are you in IT? I would use what your customers are using. If they are on Office 365, you should be as well so you can try stuff and be familiar with how it works.
@dashrender said in Where/who should I be buying Microsoft Server licensing from?:
I'm not sure how I feel about this - I asked my account rep to get me the iLo license i needed for a server - after 3 different purchases I still didn't have the correct license I needed.
The same can happen with any licensing. This is why I suggested finding exactly what you want before approaching any company for pricing. Sadly, this is extremely difficult at times.
That's rough. Is the account rep usually on their game? My rep is good and if a mistake is made, he does all the leg work.

I'm looking at CDW now. Searched "Windows server 2016" and I get all kinds of results, from $1,312 to $31.99, each one having similar details... What the heck..
This is where a good account rep helps. BTW, on most sites, an account rep can get you better pricing than the web pricing.

Because I will not, ever, use a company that has such shit software, that I have to fork over sales info to watc( a 3 minute demo video.
Someone watched a video on the sales funnel and decided to add a filter right at the top.
No, even with a fast internet connection, I would think you would still want onsite backups for fast restores. I guess the exception would be if you had a 1Gb internet connection and your cloud backup could support those speeds.
There are a lot of variables. For example, small company/large company, your immediate supervisor can make your life miserable... Also how do you not know if they are closer to 50 employees or 250? At 50 it's not likely you would have any help, and might even have to do more than just IT. At 250, you could still be on your own, or have a couple people helping. All that stuff makes a difference.

I was gonna ask you if you had to time to strike out your personal info and send a screen shot of the actual charges and recovery fees etc.
PMed you one.

Looks good. What frame did you go with?
I got this one:

Installed the sit and stand frame a two weeks ago. Still need a little more cable management and have to figure out what to do about the sub to neaten up the wires.

I've thought about adding an anti-fatigue mat here, not for IT work but for the bar, since it is basically a working bar.
Foot rails were added to bars to decrease back pain. How old is that anti-fatigue technology?
I have noticed that if I'm already on my feet, I'm more likely to move from my desk, which is good. I don't think you could argue that they make you more productive, but you can certainly argue that there are some health benefits for some people.
I've only had one for a couple weeks. I've been thinking about it a long time, and built my desk for it when I built my new office. When my chiropractor told me I needed it, I ordered it from Amazon an hour later.

It was $350 on monoprice and this seems to be the same thing. I'll take a picture of my set up once I have a chance to clean off my desk.... (don't hold your breath)
@bigbear said in VoIP Taxes - Are you paying them?:
One guy has 10 seats, $259, and $179 in taxes.
Percentage wise, that's what Nextiva charges.
@mattspeller said in anti-fatigue mat:
I would very much like to try a treadmill desk.
You trip over a mat just sitting there, but you want a mat on rollers... good luck with that.
I actually have a keyboard tray on my recumbent bike.
@nerdydad said in anti-fatigue mat:
I'd feel like you're giving my feet toys to play with while my hands and head are trying to work.
I just ordered toys for my feet. We'll see if I can stay on task at work. They actually named the different bumps on the thing. It was probably the marketing department's finest hour when they decided to call the ramp on the back the "power wedge".
So I've had a sit and stand desk for two weeks now and have started to think about an anti-fatigue mat. What have you tried and what do you like? Is it worth the extra spend for something like this:
