I had a 2011 6 speed Hyundai Accent. Loved it. Averaged 32city/42 higway, went about 85000 mi before I traded it in last spring. Just did oil changes on it ever 6 months and brakes at 45000 I think. The OEM tires were junk though, especially in snow. I got good michilens put on after the first year. Only reason I got rid of it was 2 kids = too much stuff to fit in the trunk.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
So, just found out my lab Dell 2950 server wont support Hyper-V 2016 because it doesn't' have SLAT processors:
"Hyper-V in the vNext version of Windows Server will only work on processors with (SLAT) Secondary Level Address Translation which is also known as (EPT) Extended Page Table for Intel processors. If you have older servers with processors that do not support SLAT, you will need to use Windows Server 2012 R2. This version of Hyper-V does not require SLAT support in the processor."

RE: Email Digital Signature causing blank email?
is Mimecast anywhere in the chain? At one time we were having a similar issue where Mimecast was stripping emails with digital signatures. This was us sending out through Mimecast (using them as our smart host) I do not remember if the email received by the vendor was blank, or if it contained a message about an invalid attachment. I had to open a support case with Mimecast and there was a gateway setting (Sorry I do not remember the exact setting) we had to change. Good Luck

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Microsoft is no longer providing a USB install guide for HyperV 2016. I did get it working with 2012 for a while but the lab server died a horrible death so waiting for a new server to hit the junk pile

RE: preferred UPS for desktop computer
@Mike-Davis I have the previous generation of this model, without the LCD panel:
https://www.tripplite.com/OmniSmart-LCD-120V-1500VA-810W-Line-Interactive-UPS-Tower-LCD-display-USB-port-Energy-Star~OMNI1500LCDT
Keeps the wife's desktop, monitor and IP phone (as well as our router) up for a good hour before the battery runs low. Tripp Lite's PowerAware software is OK, it does shut the desktop down when it reaches a threshold (I think I have it set at 50%) and does show all cool status of the power incoming to the UPS itself including spikes and sags. -
RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Family just booked a camping weekend for last weekend in June. First time camping for the boys. Unfortunately that's a bad weekend for me as I think only @gjacobse might understand.

RE: UPS Replacement
IN the last 10 years, I've replaced countless batteries but only replaced maybe 2 UPS's (both APC pieces of junk) . We are in may cases on 3rd or 4th set of batteries.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@StrongBad Good, at least my boss agrees these are more of an HR thing but she does keep a running I guess "log" if you will of items throughout the year and it's actually a bit more informative that the "standard" review.

RE: Unable to get time to sync on Server 2012 R2 DC
Check Group Policy setting in the default domain controller OU to make sure NTP/SNTP is not disabled. See this article:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/95733420-c3c8-456d-a5c1-b426ebafb53e/pdc-will-not-sync-with-external-time-source-ntp-using-w32time?forum=winserverNIS
Also, try an IP address instead of name. I use 132.163.4.103 and 129.6.15.29 for my testing, then set to pool.ntp.org when testing's complete. -
RE: Weekend Plans
@scottalanmiller Might MIGHT be in Rochester this weekend as well, Museum of Play with the kids. Unsure yet
-
RE: Vendors...Who are you using?
Servers from Xbyte, other equipment usually whomever is offering lowest price at the time; Amazon, Newegg; CDW occasionally.

RE: Amtrak, share your experience!
@scottalanmiller Now i have to road trip to our Pittsburgh office I'm hungry!

RE: Just need a basic Switch - to act as a Hub
I've been using the cheap TP-Link's 8 porters. Usually can find them for $15 on NewEgg; so far no issues.

RE: 2.50/month host available at Vultr
Linux "learning" for me, cheap host means the wife doesn't question it.

RE: VOIP Phone Suppliers
We used to use VoipSupply.com but we are reviewing that as they were recently purchased by Sangoma.
