Thanks to you for continuing to support Asterisk. I may not have any current customers using Digium gear right now, but Asterisk is used at almost all of them.

Big features: Backup & Restore overhaul and new API.
If he has no admin password access at all then there is no point in doing anything because even a clean install will require a domain admin password to join the system to the domain.

I've liked Digium kit in the past. While I don't think I'll ever have a need for a phone system again, they'd top my list if it happens.
And they make Asterisk!
Best reason ever to support Digium.
@scottalanmiller totally upvoted for keeping a title not spun by you.
Anyway, I read this yesterday someplace, do not think it was Ars.
Reading past the clickbait headline, the article was actually pretty clear that this was intentional and needed.
I have lots of mid grade APC and Eaton UPS systems out there at clients. No one wants to pay an additional $200 for the network capable units. They mostly have the RJ45 to USB cord..
Raspian repos have the APC Ups software in them natively so you can apt install it.
The APC software works with most units with just a minor config file change.

I just remembered that the band bought a new audio interface, so I'll be recabling the entire rehearsal space on Saturday. But I find that enjoyable, so yay recording gear!
This weekend will be running new conduit and preparing all the electrical for the kitchen.
Depending on how far that gets, I will get flooring installed.
I would much rather run cables than do flooring, because I've done flooring. Best of luck, hope you get it knocked out.
electrical is flat f[moderated]ing easy compared to flooring...

Looks like a mostly bugfix release.
Version 2.0 is in Beta testing and will be bringing big changes to the core OS.

@BRRABill it is broke because almost certainly his DHCP scope is only handing out the down DNS server as a DNS for the LAN.

Sure this doesn't go here, but I wasn't sure where it should go.
Saw this email. it is a good deal. Buy a DID, get the credit, cancel the DID.

Looks like an ipod... This is going to be interesting in the long term. Those Cisco chassis can do some expending though so you may be able to get to a more reliable system with what you have.
Not looks. Is.

This would be like having someone who failed at being a hacker, like Kevin Mitnick, speak at a conference or represent you.
Shot at KnowBe4? People occasionally bring it up. It always seemed scammy to me.
KnowBe4 is solid for the masses. Seriously a helpful product.
I do agree about the entire failed hacker bit though. I am not a Mitnick fan. But KnowBe4 did it for the name to the masses.

go with EdgeMax as a baseline
EdgeRouter X?
I would never use an ER-X for an office with more than 5 or 6 users. The ER-X does not have the balls for it.
It is a great SOHO device.and handles that task well. For an office, I would always start with the ERL or ERPoE. Then move up to the ER-8 if needed.

broken promises
Bullshit.
Well I will certainly not defend LMI because they’re a crap ass company, last pass has never promised full functionality on all devices for free. That they might not have actually enforced it maybe true. There is no broken promise
