well..... WOW gets their $15 a month from all the people that go there and I am sure that it has driven customers to them. So they still make some dough off it.

I have never been to Disney Land, but my understanding is Disney World is larger

Um yeah. Disneyland is just the Magic Kingdom, one sad tack on (the California experience) and three hotels. No open space. No expanse. It's like 1% the size quite literally. Just tiny.

Disney World is bigger than some cities. They own alot of undeveloped property, too.

UAC was supposed to fix some of the admin concerns , but users that didnt understand the reasoning behind UAC just simply turn it off.

I am very surprised that was still available

Because customers don't know what LANs are 😉

Yes. Florida and Texas have very high IT qualities of life values.

Its insane how much the cost of living varies within the state. Orlando housing is much more expensive (25-40%) then where I live and I am only 5 minutes from the beach.

You think that is something, check out New York. I grew up in one of the lowest cost counties and now live in the highest cost county. Back home, $200K is a mansion. Here, $2,000,000 is a studio apartment. I have friends who bought houses for $45K.... six bedrooms, nice places, right in town, nice yards, nice view, safe. Down here in Westchester rivals San Francisco.

      That is crazy

I have never paid to go to a theme park in my life. I have been to Disney World 10 times and I have always gotten in free. I know quite a few people that work there. Its quite an empire down here

He said "World" so must be Orlando.

Being born and raised in the Orlando area, I know that but I doesnt mean that people dont use it interchangeably

    • RE: Additional domain controller in remote site

We use a 5 DCs at our main office and branches have no DCs. Since I use PDQ for package deployment and I use a separate Group Policy for each branch. I have never had an issue with our T1 Connections. You can use AD Sites and Services to create a new site for the branch and just build the second DC at your main office. I really don't see why you need a second DC at the branch, user authentication and group policy don't use much bandwidth at all. I bet your branch users are still accessing their shares and applications over the WAN. Which uses much more resources than AD would ever use.

Bill Kindle has to be the luckiest man alive. We are having unheard of (comfortable) weather in May. I can never remember a day in May being as temperate as it has been the last few days.

No question then. File for LLC. No personal income tax!! That makes it nice. The filing fee is right around the same here in CA.

Yeah, our average IT professional income is lower because of that. I think after you calculate no state income tax and a cheaper cost of living we make out ok.

You had my curiosity piqued, so I went ahead and upgraded my test SW system to 7.2. I didn't notice anything major different from 7.1 for the helpdesk. It still has the same feel. For a basic internal helpdesk, it does the trick.

Yeah, but 6 and 7 are much different. I havent used 7 in production. I was just curious.

Yes, that difference is quite significant.

      Which one do you prefer?
