I checked with a fellow IT'er and Engineer and he doesn't know if a Desktop that has a Cellular option. So anything you 'add' with be 3rd party.
(ETA) At least As Far As I know....

Having run a BBS 1989-1994 it was interesting to see how not only E-Mails but Forum evolved. First versions of WWIV BBS software were isolated, later they started being connected and store in forwarding messages across the country, and in some cases into the Internet at the time...
You said BBS...music to my ears and it takes me back...:)
I remember hearing the >click< >modem handshake< and going to see who was on, and even at 2am taking a few minutes to chat with that person. There was a system in the area that had I believe 8 modems, and you could chat with not on the SysOp but one of the other online members.

I don't think a Pi will function in that regard.... Sadly one of the first devices I can think of is a Laptop. I have several here that would allow for a SIM,.. so bypasses the WAN.
Raspberry Pi can't run Windows, so that's a big limitation. Laptops are too fragile. That was suggested but it's hard to imagine customers not messing with a laptop that is sitting there.
Agreed. It was the first thing I thought of having a SIM - I have not looked for / at other cellular devices - or cellular embedded devices.

If you install Xen you get hit with VDI licensing requirements for Windows desktops, though. If you use Windows desktop as the "base" OS and install the HyperV role it bypasses that while still virtualizing everything. It's not ideal, but it saves a lot of money. Really odd that MS does that, but hey, it's pretty minor overall. That way we can have both Windows and Linux on the box at the same time.
I realize that XP is EOL - but would it remove the VDI licensing issue?
Using a server blocks (IMO) some of the feature sets desired.

As for development - take any device, and build it out as a VM with your OS and tools and go from there...
Thanks @david.wiese, I'll look at that. I had two thoughts going when it started to occur,.. AV issue or OS issue...
But doesn't seem to be related.
While I am Googling my starting point for SharePoint - thought I would ask here if anyone had a suggested title for reading.
Interesting - but seems to be a rather large device for a phone...
The Fh-ablet (Phone/Tablet) is to large to be used as a phone in my opinion,.. this looks to be even larger.
Other wise seems decent.
I've run into this a few more times than I would have expected. User is able to sign into their account via Chrome and IE, so it doesn't appear to be an account issue.
Moving people over, I'm exporting their mail, renaming the Outlook folder and then removing the profile. I create a new profile and start the Exchange account build using auto discovery.
All goes well until the last part - the log in which fails. If I cancel it, I get a pop up box with the server settings. I have confirmed the settings; username and password.
This is maybe the third person I have seen this with.

Runs in my family. It's a relatively common joint problem. Basically you have some trauma likely that causes it to unhinge. Once it starts happening the ligaments that hold it in place because looser and it becomes easier to have it come out the next time. The TMJ is a hook joint, not like a ball and socket. So the ability to have it slip out is far higher than say a shoulder or an elbow. But it is also much easier to put in back.
I can not imagine how painful that would be.
Not that anyone would want surgery - but wouldn't it be possible to shorten the ligaments to 'tighten' them up?
As for the WAYDRN? - moving data from one laptop to another, hanging out on ML, trying to keep what little sanity I have left...
It's not working.
Who else is using ME-SDp OD?
I know that myself and @JaredBusch are using it. But just curious who else might be using it.
Hmm...
Oh well.. I might just stick an MS OS back on an old PE box and use NTbackup.. It's simple,.. but doable.
I've not had to use many command line options over the recent years... so tar isn't is a tad foreign.
Researching some information on freeNAS and wonder if it has the ability to backup to tape.
Has anyone seen or done this?

Something else for me to setup, fix, and get frustrated over.
As cool as it is,.. I think i'll pass. If I were to get one for free.... maybe. but unlikely.

I use FF almost exclusively.
Same here... unless I need to log into another O365 account...
Or I'm checking www.ingress.com/intel

So I found out today that without my permission, Register.com has been using my debit card to bill for thirty domains automatically every year. This has, it turns out, cost me thousands of dollars over the years.
This is just wrong... while I know it is unlikely that you will get any of it back... I think this is very poor business....
Hope you can dispute it, and recover at least a portion of your funds.
I can't say why I don't really like GoDaddy.. I just don't Maybe because it seemed like there were some limits and CMS software that didn't run well.
I've been using Host Monster and Blue host and have not had any surprises from either.
