Yup, this is about her account, not her phone. Log into her Outlook.com account and deal with it there, not via the phone. And Outlook.com is not a business tool, that can't be helping.

I've gone to the website and verified as much as I can...still a problem on the phone...and agreed, she needs a business email but I can't help in that area... 😞

    • Outlook.com on iPhone Vicious Circle - Quotas, Verification's, and Mailbox Full

The owners' wife (which means top priority) is having some crazy Outlook.com issues. I recently set up a new Outlook.com account on her iPhone since she recently changed her name. All of that went well and it seemed to be OK last week.

Today, she let me know that she was getting some odd messages. First, then she tried to send email she got this message:

      0_1475615752118_image.png

So, I log into her Outlook.com account and one of the first thing it has me do is a CatchPhrase to make sure she isn't SPAM. I do that and then she says it is working.

She lets me know a while longer that it isn't working with this message about the mailbox being full...

      0_1475615768151_image.png

That one I can't explain...but we did verify her account again and it started working again. Then, she got a message that said she was over the daily quota.

She is out of state, so I can't get my hands on the phone. She is being very patient but she uses this for business and personal use and I can get out of this vicious circle.

Only seems to be a problem from the Phone...the Outlook.com website seems to be working OK but she primarily uses her phone.

      Any ideas or suggestions?

Update on yesterday's reboot. Here is what "WebRoot" said:

The particular issue being reported is related to a wireless keyboard being in place. There are a few Microsoft wireless keyboards that the drivers can conflict with ours, at this time the workaround sent would resolve this issue however a more permanent fix is being developed.

So my wireless keyboard was at fault. We changed a setting and now it is working. I'm very impressed with their support and expanding my testing of WebRoot. .

We only have 2 windows 10 machines, but we have had zero webroot issues. And both had webroot installed before the 1607 build.

Same here, Webroot on all of our Windows 10 and no issues with them.

Quite baffling since this is a brand new install of Windows 10. They had me reinstall it so I could send them diagnostics.

As I await them, I'm troubleshooting myself...if I let it reboot and log in and don't do anything, it is fine. If I use a third party program like Adobe Acrobat, Chrome or iTunes...no problems...anything that is perhaps tied to the Windows kernal, BAM, locks up and 30-45 seconds later, ir reboots. Outlook, File Explorer, Cortana, Windows Store...and it happens a lot when in search boxes...

Going back to my Sophops crash from last week, I can't imagine what would do this, especially now, on a clean install.

Confirmed, it is Windows Input Boxes causing this problem. If I don't log in right away and wait a bit and then try to type my password, it locks up and reboots...again, with WebRoot installed. Still waiting on them to tell me when it is OK to uninstall.

Wow...just wow...after I had to totally rebuild/reload Windows 10 on my PC, I tried Webroot...now, my PC reboots after being logged in for 2 minutes. First, my second monitor goes dim and everything locks up. Then, it reboots. I log back in...same thing...works for 2 minutes and same thing happens.

So, I am wondering since I am now 0-2 with Sophos and Webroot, that it could be a hardware problem with my PC or most likely, it doesn't like Windows 10 1607 update.

At this point, I may just stay with Symantec another year and just put up with those hiccups...

I've never heard of that before. I am sure you probably already did this, but I just want to double check. You uninstalled Symantec first, right?

Last week during Sophos, yes, uninstalled Symantec first and then loaded Sophos...bam, wouldn't boot.

Now, this is a CLEAN copy of Windows 10 1607 with all updates...bam...reboots every 2 minutes...I noticed I can only uninstall Webroot from its website console, so I sent an uninstall command...said it could take 24 hours but hoping it will be soon...

Update...it uninstalled but still locked up and rebooted...will report back on what happens after this...

Uninstalling stopped the reboots. And as someone said earlier, their support is fast...they are already working with me on this...

I tried a demo of Sophos Cloud Endpoint today...loaded the client on my PC...rebooted...PC won't boot anymore...called their suipport...25 minuute wait and they just told me to uninstall it manually via a Windows Troubleshooter and then manually remove the services...did that in safe mode...PC still won't boot...preparing to rebuild my PC...

Not a good start...and I keep a clean PC, so can't imagine why installing their client would do this...

This is one of a few reasons I never moved off Symantec...don't want surprises...

That's weird man. We did 12 deployments as a test and had zero issues - this was in addition to us leaving McAfee installed which it removed nicely.

Agreed it is weird, especially when I keep a clean PC but my confidence to roll this out is kind of shaken right now...

Check out Webroot. Never had an issue with them. If you do have issues their support is fantastic.

It is my next choice...mind you, I won't judge Sophos by this but having to spend the day backing up, reinstalling windows and programs/apps after a failed demo isn't encouraging...

Yeah, even know we consumers aren't in on those meetings, I would like to know what happened...while not as high profile as some apps, 36 hours downtime is terrible for any service...

      What is Wunderlist?

A cloud based task collaboration suite, like ToDoList and to a lessor extent, Evernote. Microsoft purchased them a few years ago...I'm thinking they've not moved over to Azure yet. Not that Azure doesn't go down but still...this is closing in on 36 hours now...

Wow, that is a long time for something to be down!

To their credit, they have been very good at communicating but it sounds like a pretty major issue:

Is Webroot generally cheaper too? I got a quote on it and it is about $1500.00 cheaper than Sophos...

The main reason I've stayed on Symantec was to just stay status quo. But it has been very quirky lately and their support is sub-par. I will also take a look at them. 🙂
