Interesting election we've got this year
-
Tough choice.. I like both the frog and the hippo.
-
I think the Hippo. Definitely not the Mite.
-
@scottalanmiller and definitely not the frog... sounds too much like that terrible Doors song "Peace Frog". Team Hippo over here.

I agree, can't have no womans in political office.
The mite is a woman right?
-
I saw this thread and went to the comments first. I was thinking hippo = trump and frog = hillary
-
Molly Mite is definitely a female. We weren't really equating them to current US presidential candidates when we selected them. I can see the Trump-Hippo connection but not sure about the Hillary-Zen Frog. In any event, it's in the hands of out IT electorate now!
-
@tonyshowoff Yes, Molly Mite is a female character.
-
@mdecamp if everyone is going to draw connections to politicians, I retract my vote and I retract any involvement with helping you select a mascot, as I truly despise all politicians and politics in general. I'm a man of principle, and I won't be caught dead choosing which pseudo-politico mascot I prefer.
(this post made in jest, but I'm absolutely serious in my hatred for all things political)
-
Not sure if Hillary is a woman or Trump is man....

Yeah, not our intent to draw connections to specific candidates. We'd like to think that Hippo, Zen Frog and Molly Mite are a cut well above the average politician. Each one does love their IT pros, too.

The mere fact they're not politicians I think makes that an automatic cut above.

By the way, I never win contests so can't I just buy these things?
-
I've long been a member in good standing of the GOH (Grand Ol' Hippo) but if they don't live up to expectations I'm a cross-aisle voter and have been known to "leap" the aisle if the right frog candidate comes along.
-
Vote for frogs every leap year? Now there is a slogan.

"I'll take the leaps for you."
-
@tonyshowoff It is possible to buy them... If you vote and don't win, just let us know and we'll share the info. We do give away some of the existing toys at trade shows, in response to direct messages, etc. Sometimes particular toys are discontinued or become too expensive for us to use.
-
Frogs are BOUND to win. Ha ha ha

Don't tease me @mdecamp
-
I should write for an animal-themed election education cartoon.
-
@tonyshowoff If you want a Devil Duck, all you have to do is ask. We don't have many mites, hippos or frogs at this point.
@scottalanmiller There's been a void in my life ever since the Far Side ended.
