If I ever end up in the Philippines I'll let you know sir :-), I love the appalachian mountains, and I love the water (that's one perk about Maryland), so I wouldn't mind traversing y'alls backyard

The Philippines really does look amazing.

Was hoping to have the weekend off but someone has scheduled me to be doing a switch install and a complete "re-network" of an SMB.

The Thomson Reuters building on Midway. I'm competing in the speech evaluation contest.

I know that building! Should be fun. Have a good time and good luck.
And don't get ebola.

It'll be fun. The actual person who is supposed to be competing was unable to make it, so I'm the runner-up taking their place.

I need to cook for the people here on Saturday as I leave first thing Sunday morning for Vegas.

I'll be working. Need to make up for last week. I am so far behind on so many things.

Find some place to install Windows 10!

Looks like I am working on Saturday in Manhattan and on Sunday taking the wife and kids around Manhattan as a sight seeing day in our home city.

That sounds like fun. Do you go to the city often? How close are you?
-
Surprisingly not often at all. The kids have never actually been in Manhattan before, just really nearby. I mean technically they have gone over the Washington Bridge but that is all. Just driving through.
I work there every once in a while. Like at the MangoLassi Meetup a few months ago. But that was it. I was in a few times in the last month and this week will be three times, but that is really abnormal.
We live less than an hour away on the commuter line.

Most people who live in REAL NY, or anything not downstate, go to NYC far less than people from almost anywhere else in the world. I live mere hours from NYC for over 20 years, and only went twice, with another separate trip to the NJ area. Upstate NYers don't like downstate at all. Totally different cultures and mentalities.

We have a Flat Stanley project to complete for a friend of the L's, so we are going to NYC to give Stanley an interesting adventure.
