      I'm sure most of you already knew this, but I just found out that SPF records were deprecated in 2014. We're back to good ol' TXT records.

        This is good to know... As I haven't been mucking around with mail servers in a while, it is always nice to hear about changes.

          @dafyre Not really a change as much as an expirement/draft test that was never adopted as an RFC. It's like if you have draft 802.11n devices, then it didn't work out and was never adopted as standard and you went back to 802.11G.

            True. But a lot of email systems adopted the SPF record type and would not accept email from you if your system wasn't set up with one. I ran into that a few times before actually setting it up.

            I always wondered why they just didn't use a TXT record for it, lol...
