Code doesn't work. Is it one of those BS codes only for returning attendees?
It was a one-day only code for 99$ tickets. It is one of the those early bird specials they do every year. You're stuck with paying 199$ now.
It sucks as it only counts DURING the event when no one has time to sign up.

Except people who aren't there... which I think it one of the reasons they do it. People watching the stream are a great captive audience for this type of thing.
Agreed though they should at least have it available for 5-7 days after the event.

I signed up while they were giving away the prizes so I wouldn't forget.
The promise to return all but $5 if I have to cancel my trip at least a week before the event was pretty nice too. -

That's a fair wack of cash just for entry (Exchange rates are killer).

That is still very inexpensive compared to a lot of other technical conferences.

The Australian dollar is stronger than the US dollar, though, right?

To get there, I think FedEx or DHL is the cheapest

In years past the code had worked until the day after. One year (2013 I think) there was such talk about it that they extended it two days.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No.
Well, not anymore. We were at parity for a while but now we are at $1 AUD = 0.70 USD.
Good if you want to buy our cattle, sheep, iron ore or wheat but not if I want to go to an international Tech conference. -

We have emailed in to people who knew that we were there and bought in bulk the day after before.

Really? Nice!
Secret plans? -
Not secret. Have to be in Hawaii in March for a family event so already a long way via the flight path. Kids are begging for a holiday in China so we plan on doing that. The plan is to move to New Zealand directly from the holiday in China. From NZ we will be using a lot of our free time to visit Australia as this is the only time that we know that we will be living in that part of the world. So like late April of 2017 through the end of the year in that part of the world. If we really find that we like Australia we could conceivably spend a few months there while in the "area".

Fantastic!

It's one of the more exciting items on our known, upcoming itinerary. Really looking forward to scouting out NZ and also looking forward to the first time that we plan on requesting a visa extension so that we can spend a really long time in one place.
