                                NYPD goes on "strike", crime drops. Study suggests that heavy policing, at least in NYC, may contribute to crime, rather than reduce it.

                                      Hasn't this been observed in other nations as well. I think the Nordic countries had some pretty good research into this.

                                        Their study was more general - the fewer Americans on the streets, the safer things got 😉
