Single point of failure with the switchgear, surprised there wasn't a backup. Usually they have devices that monitor this kind of thing and automatically switch over.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-37026007Really? They can't even rent a generator? #fail
Can't? No, they can. Won't? No, because they don't care.
-
Im sure that generator would cost less than the predicted millions that it will cost delta because of this.

@coliver hardly news. Non-competitive market in the US? Who would have guessed!

Just heard that a small ISP north of Hamburg offers 1GBit/s sync FTTH, cable TV and phone including landline calls etc for 80 EUR per month without any throttling or traffic limit. 500 MBit/s sync would be 20 EUR less. I moved from the area they are operating in like 5 or 6 years ago...

It's to the west, while Mölln is to the north east, but not far away. Maybe 150km?

It is... lived a few hundred meters from the small lakes, so basically my summer was like getting home, get your bathing clothes, get into the sea. Beer with friends. But I was offered a very good job, in the south of Hamburg. And I didn't want to drive 50km one-way every single day.

Well, wouldn't that be like 10 minutes on the autobahn?

Haha, that's the theory... In reality, we Germans have in fact the most amount of traffic signs in the world. Speed limit nearly everywhere.
-
@thwr Due to traffic?
I do 20 miles one way a day and it can easy take over a hour because of the damn traffic. Hate it
