Oracle Begins Puts AdWare in Mac Version of Java
-
Mac users need to be aware that deploying Oracle's official Java to Mac now includes Adware, like its Windows counterpart has long done. Until now, Mac users have been spared this atrocity but the widely despised Ask.com adware is now being sneaked onto Mac systems as well.

Welcome to the land of declining the ask toolbar Mac users haha.
Seriously though this problem is getting worse. Sourceforge is even putting some sketchy stuff you have to decline (usually like three install screens worth) in some of their installers

SourceForge does not build executables. that is on the dev team.

They wrap some of the original installers in their own installers. Filezilla is a good example: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client There is of course the options without it but it's not the main download http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/files/FileZilla_Client/3.10.2/FileZilla_3.10.2_win32-setup.exe/download?nowrap

I am not going to take the time to read through the site rules as I do not even have an account, but I question if that can be done without the developers consent.
That would still put it back on the developer and I will simply not support a developer that does it. same as I no longer support Sun/Java products if at all possible.
