Random Thread - Anything Goes

Our school district (Schaumburg School District 54) does not serve lunch. You have to send them with one.
There are no cafeterias in the elementary schools. They eat in the classroom.
The junior high has a cafeteria, but still no food. High school is a different district.

@dafyre I need to do a better job at this. I agree with your methods. My kids eat junk every day. Partly it comes from the wife who would rather not deal with them so that makes it harder. Partly it comes from me because I let them and her do it. Wife now has diabetes so you would think she would listen to me now...

We're pretty lucky. Emilia would rather eat fruits and veggies over chocolate or crackers, at least so far.

@jaredbusch I am amazed that they don't serve lunch. A lot of the grants for schools from the federal govt is determined by how many kids the school has on free/ reduced lunches.

We do try to eat healthy-ish... but we round it out with things like sweet tea, cookies, chips and pizza. :grinning_cat_face_with_smiling_eyes:
