Deep Freeze is ancient! How is he just now learning about it. Also they don't use SSL. . . . so yeah. . . that's a dead product as far as I'm concerned.

My Dad sent me a forward from the IT team at the company he retired from, still on the board so he still has email access.
Topic was what they were doing to help prevent ransomware; patching blah blah. nothing else.
I said yes, patching is good, but they need rock solid backups and good layered security.
I told him I would talk to him after work.
Then he sends me a infosec link on how to prepare for ransomeware better the best you can.Sigh......Parents.....Again, who is the one in the industry and knows the best practices?.......
