I wonder how these new sizes will affect app development?
One thing Apple had going for it for the longest was a single screen size (though I haven't paid any attention over the last several years - so I have no clue if they changed or not).
Of course Apple has already had to deal with this since they had the iPhone, iPad Mini and the standard iPad (in different resolutions). So at bar minimum they've had 4 different size factors to deal with.
I know Android has had multi-sized screen issues for years (thought I don't think they are that bad any more).
Apple enforces vector graphics nearly always making screen size differences not important.
I guess it hasn't always be that way or why is it if you download an application meant for an iPhone on an iPad it does horrible scaling.

Yeah didn't used to be so much but recently nearly everything is for both.

WP8.1 FTW!
Suddenly, I feel quite lonely... -

I have a Windows Phone too but don't use it.

So Apple is going to allow trade in's of your old IPhone to get the new 6. I might just get the 6 on Friday. www.trade-in.vzw.com
You can see what you phone is worth there (only online one I could find). -
Nice. Need to see if there is one for me. Does Dominica's qualify with Verizon?
-
She wont get much since there are things wrong with hers and it's a 4s
-
I think my posting failed here.
-
There was go. Posts going through now. Does Dominica qualify for the upgrade?

Because of the cracked screen, my phone is worth $36.
How much is it worth without a cracked screen? Would it be worth it to spend $75-100 to get the screen repaired?
-
@ajstringham
Oh, wow, yeah it would be worth it to have the screen fixed, and my brother in law can do it for like $30, but then I'd have to be without a phone for a while, and that probably isn't worth it. Hmmm. It would be worth $200 if the screen wasn't damaged.

Sounds like it'd be worth it to me.

Ugh. Better than nothing though.

Art can fix it while we are driving
-
If you can get the screen repair kit ASAP then Art could do it for you. I am sure. But don't forget to get the tool kit too since he hasn't had to fix one.
-
The trade in on mine (it's only 6 months or so old) is $300 that is the cost for the upgrade just about. I might think about doing it in a few months when there is a upgrade on our plan I can steal we bought Art's phone outright so his upgrade is still good.

I had horrible luck with stability on my Windows phones I tried 2 from 2 separate carriers. If they were stable then I would switch having the sync between tablet, phone and desktop was awesome when it worked.
