Windows 10- Cant Connect to this network?

I have a tablet I have on an Unrouted private network and randomly dropped off, restarted the device and it connected back up. When I asked about it, They said "there's a known issue with Windows 10 Wireless devices (laptops, and tablets) that they can't stay connected to a wireless connection or refuse to connect to the network at all. May be because there isn't internet connected to the network..."
I thought it was absurd, but any of you ever heard of this as an Issue?
Think it might be a tablet issue and not Windows 10?Going to try Connecting it to the internet and running windows updates this weekend to see if that resolves the issue.

The error said "Can't connect to this network" after it was already connected for over an hour.

Ah, that's the issue, not the message then. I thought this whole thing was that you were getting just the message, but that it was still working fine.

Whom did you ask?
Windows 10 (and Windows in general) is pretty flaky. But I've not seen this with any regularity.

Ah, that's the issue, not the message then. I thought this whole thing was that you were getting just the message, but that it was still working fine.
oh, no it lost connection, then wouldn't connect again until after a restart.

Whom did you ask?
Windows 10 (and Windows in general) is pretty flaky. But I've not seen this with any regularity.
another Tech here at RDS who has worked with Tablets as terminals more than I

I have seen specific devices have a hard time getting/staying connected. My old Lenovo laptop had this issue. Replacing the wireless NIC solved the problem. Others I've updated the driver and it solved, and yet others never resolved. Recommended solutions at that point were - replace the AP, replace the laptop/device.
I didn't mention updating the AP, but I suppose that should be mentioned.

Agreed, this is more likely to be hardware or driver related, than to be Windows 10 related.
