Lastpass missing from Chrome this morning

I've had nearly a dozen users contact me this morning telling me that Lastpass was missing from Chrome this morning.
The latest version of Chrome is 78.0.3904.97 and was released Nov 6, 2019, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't an update that took it out.
Anyone else see this?
It is a common occurrence for me and 1Password so I have seen it and I just need to enable the extension.

it would be one thing if the extension was simply disabled - but it wasn't - it was gone! as in the extension was completely removed and has to be reinstalled.
Very bizarre!

mmm weird.

LastPass released an update Nov 14.
My guess is that the update failed and Chrome's recovery was to simply remove it.
A few other people (today, not yesterday) had LP simply disabled, not completely gone from Chrome. Simply enabling it resolved the issue for these folks.
I can't figure out yet why it was disabled though?
As an asside, I noticed that uBlock Origin wasn't running in my Chrome - upon investigation - it too had updated, but was requiring additional permissions when I went to enable it.
This is pretty damned poor UX for Chrome! Why am I not notified that shit is being uninstall/disabled? Why am I not prompted to grant added permissions after an update?

Chrome is never meant for users that want control, chrome is meant to auto everything, and let google decide everything for you, it is good for my dad or mom machine but thats it.

I hear what you are saying - but your mom and dad will never install an extension - at least not on purpose. But I did. So show me that shit!

UG - this shit happened again today!
I was thinking this might be related to occlusion on windows/enable occlusion of web contents - but the dates don't line up exactly.
This thread was started about 2 weeks before the first major problem caused by occlusion of Web contents (that mostly killed RDS/Citrix servers and Chrome).
Google rolled that change back and service was restored for people.
I read last week that Google was looking to enable this feature again late last week, and here I am today with more users (several of the same as before, but not all) who no longer have LP in Chrome.

My Laptop and Desktop seem to be fine.

I like Chredge better
I wouldn't expect things to ultimately be different between Edge (chromium based) and G-Chrome because the base is the same. MS can't afford to deviate that much from the base, otherwise they end up with issues.

Haha, Chredge wins!
Well, it's different enough that all mine keep working consistently. We don't know what they are changing, or at least I don't. We could assume as such, but look at how different all the Linux distros are even though they share the same base (kernel).

yeah - who knows. Plus MS is always going to be lagging behind Chrome in releases, so what issue might hit Chrome, might not hit Chredge for a week or two.

Chrome != Chromium either
Chrome is based on Chromium.
Credge is based on Chromium.
