Can't we just get past the fact things there are the way they are, he has no power over any of it, and isn't able to expose any of it for fear of prematurely losing his job? I mean, what is there left to discuss of this?

This has been going on ever since I started this job over a year ago.

Why do you stay there and continue to deal with their shit?

Honestly? no idea.. At this point I dont have experience to go anywhere else or do anything else.

Right, he wants to leave. But not badly enough. That's why these threads matter. He has bosses above him that try to convince him that they aren't as bad as they are. He's trapped there for now, he can't just leave. If he was free to relocate we had a job for him two weeks ago that would have been a zero discussion "here's your new job" situation. But he couldn't take it. He's in a terrible market without a lot of experience.

This is news to me. . .

Because you've defended them and when you repeat them lying you do so as if you are wondering if the lie is valid instead of just saying "my boss made up a blatant lie" or "I'm sure this is a lie but..."

When you repeat a lie and don't point out it is a lie, it essentially requires a discussion about why the quote isn't factual.

        how do I know if it's a lie ?

Well in some cases you can figure it out because you have enough info. When you don't have that info, you can post it here and we can look at it, like what happened here.

Nothing wrong with not knowing. But you have to expect (and want) us to tear it apart if it is. Which is what happened. This is actually a really good process for you... because it...

        1. Teaches diagnoses of the information.
        2. Often requires digging into technical or legal details.
        3. Exposes just how much your boss will lie to you, not just the customer.

A place where good customer service and trying to do the right thing would have been universally appreciated 😞

MSP shop that's part of the NTG extended ecosystem. It's a lot like your role now, but not PoS systems, more general IT support. It's a physical office location there. Some local customer on site work, mostly telephone and online remote support. General tech helpdesk.

Maybe I should just quit and start working on NTG sales here in Omaha.

I never got the interview - thats what I meant by No call back or email .
I called to follow up on my Applications, but was told they'd call me for an interview.

Just asking an honest question, @WrCombs how many jobs have you applied for since starting work with this employer?

None of which called me back or send me an email .

Did you followup with any of those 4 that you thought the interview went good?

I never got the interview - thats what I meant by No call back or email .

                                      Ah.

Well in cases like that I would just keep applying to other posted jobs. They very likely could've found a candidate for the position at your price point and with more experience (or whatever) and opt'd to not follow through on the process.
