Clonezilla on UEFI enabled machines video issue
-
My HP Probook 650 G1's have an issue booting into Clonezilla in UEFI mode.
I get the typical boot menu, choose your resolution, but no matter what resolution/option I choose, I get this.
yes I've downloaded the UEFI version from Clonezilla's site.
Any other suggestions?

Can you run ddrescue from another live Linux? Like Ubuntu?
For Disk to Imageddrescue -f -n /dev/[baddrive] /mnt/[imagefilename].img /mnt/recovery.log
For Disk to Disk
ddrescue -f -n /dev/[baddrive] /dev/[gooddrive] /mnt/recovery.log

Will dd allow the use of different sized disks?

Claiming this is UEFI issue is false. This maybe an HP + UEFI issue, but it is not a UEFI issue.
We use Clonezilla at one client for applying the desktop images and we run 100% UEFI.
Those systems are all Dell though. We do not do any cloning at any of our clients that have HP systems.
