Veeam One

For those who use Veeam Backup and Replication, do you also use Veeam One, or just use the standalone Backup and Replication product? I would be content with job notifications, which I believe can be configured with just Backup and Replication. If you use Veeam One, do you find the reporting provides a good bit of value?

If you have Hyperv and Vmware it is helpful otherwise XenServer or KVM is not helpful to you. I use the Veeam Backup and Replication standalone and leave the monitoring to Zabbix so far.

@dbeato This will be an all Hyper-V environment (where I work). I noticed my reseller quoted me the price for "Backup Essentials" which included Veeam One, so while I get them to quote me just Backup and Replication, I figured I'd get folks' opinions on Veeam One.

Backup Essentials is Veeam Backup and Replication. Just with a max socket limit. https://www.veeam.com/smb-vmware-hyper-v-essentials.html

In other words, it is simply a license. It has nothign to do with the product.

100% correct. I misread my quote, and thought it was X per socket, rather than X for two sockets.
