My GLH makes 350whp
-
Last year, I dynoed my 1985 Dodge Omni GLH, it made 290whp on E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline).
Since then, I upgrade the factor socketed ECU to an aftermarket unit called Microsquirt, installed a more efficient intercooler, and put in a T04B V trim turbo instead of a T04E 50 trim turbo, and a chambered muffler instead of a straight through muffler.
I made 350whp on E54 last Thursday. What really surprised me is the power of my minimal boost setting, 250whp at 12.5psi. That's more than twice the HP when the car came out of the factory in 1985.
There are two set of dyno pull on these graph.
Red lines - HP and torque when I started.
Blue lines - HP and torque when I left.
HP vs boost level

I'm not a car guy, but it's cool that you added that much HP.
-
Looks cool.
My car can go at least any speed limit in the U.S. within a reasonable number of seconds... really all I care about.

I got my 55mpg Honda Insight for that.

I wish my 2010 Honda Insight would get 55mpg.
But it has 175,000 miles on it and it is likely the battery pack is barely doing shit.
Also, it would help if I drove slower than 80 MPH.

I don't think I've ever seen one of your driving pics that showed under 80 mph.

Cruise control is typically set to 80 - 82 whatever traffic was at when I get south of the Kankakee river.

I'm driving my 2000 insight with no hybrid battery, the car is basically a 2 door light weight 3 cylinder car.
At 40-45mph, I can get near 90mpg pretty easily.
At 60-65mph, I can get near 70mpg. I took a 792 miles road trip to Texas from AZ, got 72mpg, with no battery assist.
Above 70mph+ the gas mileage go down quick
In city driving, I'm getting 55mpg or so.
-
@harry-lui Oh, the original insight. Yeah those things are beasts when it comes to MPG.

Battery out of car or unplugged?

@tim_g
In the pictures, battery was turned off.
Now, battery is out of the car.
