ScreenConnect - UAC
-
Has anyone else had an issue in ScreenConnect where a UAC prompt comes up and your screen doesn't show it? It just looks unresponsive. I found if I switch from single monitor view to multi and back, I can see the UAC prompt.
-
It happens from time to time it seems... Or at least something similar. Will connect and get a blank (black) screen. After a minutes or so I'll get the prompt to sign in. Some times I''ll have to close/restart that session.
-
I've not seen in, but I think I've been told about it happening.

Don't have that issue with Bomgar, but it will happen if it was deployed without Administrative permissions.

Yeah we get it when you try and do something that needs admin rights to run/change.
What we do is send a Ctrl+alt+del from the ScreenConnect commands this is give the do you want to want type box to the "client" machine they click yes and then you get asked for domain user/password. Once entered it will let you see all the uac stuff.

This has started consistently for tyhe Windows based techs since I upgraded to 6.4 I recommended that they completely uninstall SC from their systems and reinstall to see if it fixes. I have not followed up on that.

Good to know about this problem.
Though manually uninstalling everythign would suck! Assuming this fixes it, I wonder if the reinstall option in SC would work?

Uninstall on the tech machine

@jaredbusch might give that a try today. If I remember

Nope still the same.
You need to send a CTRL+ALT+DEL from the menu on the agents side,
Type in your admin stuff click ok then the client is asked to allow it, once that's done you can see all future UAC stuff.
