There has been some previous discussion about FusionPBX.

Who is using it & can you share some feedback.

How has it been so far?

I did run FusionPBX for a little while, I really liked it, web interface was clean and the product was full of features, But... I had some issues which I believe was related to NAT, Sometimes the phone would ring, and then it wouldn't ring for a while.

I switched over to FreePBX and haven't had any weird issues like that at all, could be just my setup, or the make of the phone, who knows, I didn't investigate long enough though. You might find it works out of the box for you.

This is my issue with FusionPBX for people without much PBX experience. There is simply not enough of it out there to have a large base of common knowledge available on the internet.

In the testing I have done with it, it is a great product. I am going to move @Bundy-Associates to it sometime in the next month or to in order to force myself to become even more familiar with it.

@jaredbusch It's a brilliant product, and to be fair, I do prefer it to FreePBX. How much time have you spent on FusionPBX Jared? and what is pushing you to make the move?

              Not enough.

As I stated, it is a good solution, but I do not earn money from anyone to support FusionPBX. So it has always been a low priority solutoin to get more educated about.

But I am now confident enough with the current FreePBX offerings that I do not feel the need to run our internal system on it in order to maintain skills.

Best thing to do is find people that have used Skyetel and talk to them or at least read some reviews of what they have said.

Google search: Skyetel look on the right and you will see 27 reviews at this moment all 5 stars. If you read the reviews you will see the customers of Skyetel are really happy. Part of that happiness comes from good customer service and from the prices that have saved a lot of people money. I know some of the people that gave the reviews... at least 25% of them use FusionPBX.

@Skyetel made an account here and posted the other day after their name came up in a thread because of the FusionPBX recommendation.

Their listed retail prices are good, but not the lowest. That would not set me off of them because I never just go for the lowest. Reliability and ease of use are big things. Such small cost difference are basically a wash if I spend more time setting up or dealing with the "cheaper" solution.

But the rep came in and basically said their public pricing is a scam. Sorry. Not even thinking about looking at them now.

On a totally different note, I never did get the free time to migrate @Bundy-Associates over to FusionPBX. It is still (a year fucking later) on my to-do list.

I still like everything I see with FusionPBX.

@JaredBusch We are continually improving FusionPBX current master branch has 5 new import tools to add data faster. I think it will help a lot of people save time migrating. A lot of improvements to the provisioning system. GS Wave QR code instant provisioning tool. Messages feature for SMS and more... Will keep polishing, fixing bugs and adding relevant features.

@StuartJordan Next time you decide to spin it up contact me and I will help you with the NAT issue. I have a little time this week. Next week I'm teaching FusionPBX November Admin training as show at www.fusionpbx.com. So if not this week I'll have more time after the training is over.
