Fedora 26 & possibly Chrome issue?

Just did it again...
Fedora 26 system completely froze while I was typing up a similar topic to this one in Chrome.
I can access Cockpit from another PC so it seems only GUI related, however I'm not sure how to restart my GUI session from a remote CLI. It's only ever happened while I was actively in Chrome. I'm going to try FF for a while to see if it does it again. Below are two screenshots of some errors from Cockpit... System still frozen.
When I do a "killall -9 chrome", it kills Chrome, but I'm still stuck with a frozen GUI. Is there a way to restart (xorg I believe?) without rebooting? I'm using Cinnamon, not sure which service to restart.

Not sure with Cinnamon but on Gnome Xorg you can restart the GUI with this command
Alt + F2 and then enter r -
service restart lightdmThat is what restarted my GUI remotely from Cockpit. So I'm back in business without rebooting the whole computer.

Not sure with Cinnamon but on Gnome Xorg you can restart the GUI with this command
Alt + F2 and then enter rNone of the Alt+ whatever did anything... no keyboard input did anything.

I'm going to use FF now to see if it happens again. I'll update with results after a couple hours, unless it does it with FF sooner.

I'm still amazed on how nice it was to have the ability to remotely do stuff on a frozen computer to fix it, and not have to reboot.
(on FF now, so far so good)

Usually ctrl-alt-backspace resets Gnome. I haven't tried it with Wayland though, but I'm assuming it's the same.

FF is working without issue so far.
Another program that freezes the GUI is the Fedora Media Writer (dnf install mediawriter). Edit: This one freezes it beyond repair, reboot is necessary on my desktop.
It works fine on my laptop, as does Chrome. This is specific to my desktop, which is running dual monitors. So it may be related to that.

Is this happening on you connecting to a remote system or on your desktop?
