Picking a Drone

@bigbear If you're just learning to fly, or using one with the kids, I highly recommend getting a cheap (really cheap) one first. We have had cheaper ones, Parrots and even lower end. My son is pretty handy with them. When I watch videos of your average moron youtuber unbox and fly a DJI 4 with little to know effort I get the impression that it would be easier than the cheaper ones we have used.
My older two kids are 14 and 16.
That being said I definitely dont want to break one. I just get the impression they are more intelligent with collision detection, hovering, follow me? Maybe I am wrong though.

Oh, generally much more intelligent, and once you get it in the air is easier to fly. I'm not sure how they are today, but the original was a pain to get calibrated and get airborn with.

That $25 price doesn't include a transmitter.

I have an X-Star Premium from Autel. I have no idea where it is on the quality scale but it does offer some idiot proof flying and 4K video recording.

A drone would be nice to have,.. I hope to maybe pick one up in the future. But alas,.. i really don't need another hobby - IT takes just about all my time.
