Are you just quoting SW ads now?

Not me.

@DustinB3403 No, I saw it referenced in a YouTube video...

@aaronstuder don't you know that watching ads will rot your brain??? You'd be better off huffing glue than watching ads.
-

A lot of users are using in SW since the Network Monitor tool has not been updated/develop much lately. Price is not bad and free version has its limitations.
-
-
might give it a quick go, once I've sorted my new host.
-
@aaronstuder Yeah some features that the paid have are not on the free version. And alerts are also limited.

Been playing with it, one major issue I have run into has to do with locations and geo-mapping. If you want your devices to show up on the map, then their locations have to be mappable locations, you can set it so that it will change the location from something like "IDF-xx" to "1234 Main Street, Town, State" and it'll then map it, but then the device shows up in the location "1234...." and not "IDF-xx"
So it is impossible to organize devices into locations that make sense for my setup and have them mapped. It's one or the other. Which makes zero sense to me. I should be able to set it so that anything in the location "IDF-xx" is at address "1234...." and then anything that has that location should be mapped to "1234..." but show up in the UI at location "IDF-xx"
To me this is completely idiotic, and may actually be a deal breaker. It's kind of useless to me if I can't put the devices in locations that make sense to me (ie "IDF-xxx" and not "1234...."), though I may simply have to disable the map and geo-location services in it. Not sure yet.

Community edition, so free.
O, and the community support experience has been somewhat crap. The only think they mention is their IRC channel, where I got some british dude who was trying to tell me that my setup was "retarded" and that I was doing it all wrong.

Looks very nice. Does Zabbix offer monitoring of servers to that level?

He was asking as a comparison.
