I'd definitely taste it, but I'm not sure I'd jump right in and buy a whole bottle to start.
Here is one that you should definitely skip:
I didn't see the word "coffee" on the label and tried a shot - terrible. Like they tried to make a red eye gravy whisky. Made me want a nice, hot biscuit with real red eye gravy to wash the taste out.

Agreed. I was picturing the "bottle of red eye" like I saw in old Bugs Bunny cartoons, but I was dead wrong. But real red eye gravy is awesome (because it doesn't involve whisky).
