Screenly - Raspberry Pi Digital Signage System
-
Screenly is an digitial signage solution built for use on the Raspberry Pi. Because of a project for work, I'm looking for simple signage solutions that "anyone can manage". Does anyone use screenly, or have a recommendation for a low cost signage solution? My goal (not the business goal) is to find 2 or 3 solutions that are easily setup and maintained. Without using Windows. The business goal is to not spend a ton of money on a monthly or annual signage solution, as this is not a profit earning tool.

How many monitors are you looking at? What kind of Content?

@gjacobse 2 monitors is what was just discussed, but more likely a single monitor would all that would ever be used. The content would be powerpoints, videos and websites. Without audio.

But libreElec and KODI may be an option. the only thing I don't know about since it's not in the realm of my needs, is if you can update/ change the content stream via SSH or the GUI... I know I can queue up music and play Youtube from the iPad control...

Screenly OSE really seems like what we need. The fact that we don't have to spend a ton of money on hardware is a plus in my opinion.
