Server is up and running. Connected server with XenCenter.

Now it's time to move all vms from ESXi 6 free to XenServer 7.
My understanding is, I need to export each vm to ovf and convert with XenConvert, then import ?
Now both servers are running, is there any easier method to migrate ?

I'd love to hear the step by step that you follow to accomplish. I'm trying to migrate two bare metal servers to XenServer 7.
My googling has shown that XenConvert doesn't work with 7, and not supported with 6.5 (though it has been reported as working). There is a Xen Convertor VM, but you have to have a paid support contract with Citrix it get the current version. I did find links to the new old 6.2 version on XS's website though. -
Just export to ovf and import into xs. Once imported remove VMware drivers install xs drivers.
No "conversion" at all.

@Dashrender Done with migrating one VM (hyperv VM) and was sucessful. Tested on XenServer 7 by running it.
Few things we need to consider :
- Export and Import is taking long (depends on vm size)
- I am importing VM from ESXi to my computer and Exporting (OVA) from my computer to XenServer 7.
- I have configured vSphere client for ESXi and XenCenter for XS7 which makes my work bit easier (feels working locally-within my computer).
- Make sure you are connected with cable (for performance).

Importing to XS7
Imported successfully and running

Here, Hyperv vm was a test VM I was running on ESXi and because it's smaller size, I have chosen this one to test import and export.

Make sure you have double space than VM at export target, as I have observed that while importing the OVA from XenCenter, it is creating a copy on source (ova) location and then copying to XS7 SR. -

I was not talking about space on XS server.
Import and Export:

No, I knew exactly what you were talking about. I don't have many systems over 500 GB (the standard drive in most of my non server machines). I purchased a 3 TB drive for my test XS box, and my current NAS only has 600 GB free. So I'll need to get another drive to add to say my destkop that will hold the 700+ GB image of my VM, and the 700+ GB temp file that it will create during transition.
