Very cool stuff, can't wait to get to try it out. I've been using Amazon AWS for many years, but this will make it so much more applicable to so much more stuff.

I have my first instance up and running if anyone has any questions.

Linking to this discussion as it is not a duplicate but there is a lot info there as well since the State of Cloud 2016 post came out just as Amazon announced LightSail.

Purely Linux at this time, just CentOS based and Ubuntu. No Windows, BSD, Suse, etc.

This is definitely going to put a lot of pressure on the other VPS providers. It is going to be really easy to connect with other AWS services so the value of the service is going to be great.

Tons of pressure. Vultr is really the only one with a lot of breathing room.
