              Free Skype also does this and better than google Hangouts. You can share your desktop etc. have video and sound all in one.

                  I used Hangouts on Air for my D&D campaign and share my screen. Now that is switching to YouTube, not sure how it will continue working.

                  I never looked at screen sharing with basic hangouts.

                    I've used hangouts all the time in group calls. Skype & Hangouts seem a much for muchness.
