Morning all. Coffee, uploading some videos, preparing for a meeting in less than an hour. How are y'all?
Hyper priority today,.. tickets tickets tickets,… FFS, don’t cuss at me. And you wonder why I get ‘lippy’ sometimes.
Troubleshooting a PS script, then I recall why I think it happens,.. deleting the user profile from across the network give an error,.. it’s because windows sees the profile ‘in use’ so have to ‘force it maybe’.
Priority is a priority except this new priority and now has a higher priority then the previous important priority.

Awesome - Really happy for you, and hope it works to YOUR liking.
Chocolatey is pretty awesome - I put it on all my personal devices, and 'snuck' it in on the work. They push updates to it,... but there are some things that I wanted over their 'junk'.
Here is a trimmed list from -this- computer:
Chocolatey v1.1.0 7zip 22.1 adblockpluschrome 1.12.4 audacity 3.1.3 balabolka 2.15.0.822 chromium 103.0.5060.114 discord 1.0.9005 etcher 1.7.9 ffmpeg 5.1 filezilla 3.60.2 foxitreader 12.0.0.1239400 gimp 2.10.32.1 GoogleChrome 103.0.5060.134 greenshot 1.2.10.6 hwinfo 7.24 libreoffice 5.4.4.20180111 libreoffice-fresh 7.3.4 microsoft-windows-terminal 1.13.11431.0 nomachine 7.10.2.800 openshot 2.6.1 plex 1.49.1.3146 rufus 3.19 signal 5.51.0 steam 3.0.1.20200226 steam-client 2.10.91.92 teamviewer 15.31.5 telegram 4.0.2 telegram.install 4.0.2 telegram.portable 4.0.2 windirstat 1.1.2.20161210 winscp.install 5.21.1 youtube-dl 2021.12.17 yumi-uefi 0.0.4.6
Likely a few that need to be culled out... like why are there three Telegram - I only need the one - likely MY error during the install. By not specifying the right 'application' name.
Updating is super fast
choco upgrade all -y
Get coffee or in my case Mountain Dew and finished or mostly finished when you get back.

Heading out to the beach to see a band and get some food.

Playing with the microphone/camera and related settings - lots of background noise i'm trying to see if it's going to be a problem

What camera/mic? Internal to the new laptop?
Check the mic boost levels….. what noise is it picking up.

Yea, think I finally got it figured out, but I'm doing laundry and my "office" is in the basement in the space across from the washer and dryer - and it was a lot of static -

Gotcha -
My home office is five feet from the HVAC and hot water tank... so I understand background noise. With a dual ear headset it was never an issue.. but NTG didn't do all that many video calls either. Now the State and the clinic - they are all about that fool camera... -
Was going to mow,... but Mother said - uhm no. You no mow now. ... might have gotten another quarter inch of rain.. ugh - people here are getting a tad tired of rain... and a bit antsy when it does. Eastern Kentucky town got about eleven inches.. so there has been a lot of flooding. Families could really use some of that $1.3B lottery money - and Fed/State/Local money as well.

lighting is the next big thing
-
got the lighting figured out, going to be running with less lights than one would think, but it looks okay for me.
no glares in the camera, etc.when needed I can turn on extra lamps and stuff.

Why manual upgrades? There are some packages for choco to upgrade everything.

libreoffice 5.4.4.20180111
libreoffice-fresh 7.3.4This means you have had been using chocolatey for a while, or, you didn't pay attention when it installed.
I do not know why, as I never looked into ti, but the package changed a while ago. If you use LibreOffice, you need to use
libreoffice-fresh
now. You can freely removelibreoffice

Work laptop is work. Until you been through HR and know 100% all company policy, you should not be doing dick on it.

It was an assumption, true.
But if is it not a work laptop, umm I would not be using it for work either, and you have implied this is your new "office" for your new job. Hence my assumption and confusion.

https://community.chocolatey.org/packages?q=choco+upgrade+allInitially - 'control'. Now - The office has burnt me enough that when I get home I'm just done for the day. I don't want to work on 3D Printer project, Laser projects much less dealing with anything else. A good many things have been dropped because the interest and love are no longer there. I just grind... and yes - falling a bit into the rut of - that's the way I started it,.. so that's the way I do it. Right or wrong.. I'm trying to clear off my desk so I can get to yet more more thing that has to be fixed or researched.
