Cherry blossom season is over. Right now they just look like a tree with green leaves like normal.

While it's right now was a while ago...
My SIP trunks were handed off to me today. After 30 mins of troubleshooting registrations issues, it finally worked. Well at least for an hour. I made a test call, checked out Cox's online portal for the services and noticed they had added 20 additional DID's for the trunks. I decided to create an inbound route for one of them to test if they were active, and it worked!
I tried another outbound call - and that failed. After another 20 mins on the phone, we found that it worked earlier because Cox had an incorrect setup that allowed my incorrectly configured outbound rules which prepended a 1 to all outgoing calls. Cox has fixed their mistake after we got off the phone, which then broke my ability to make local calls. After removing the prepended 1, everything else worked as desired.

My impression of Japan: if the samurai don't force you to commit supuku (no clue how to spell that) then the EMF's will kill you (all the power lines everywhere!), or possibly Godzilla...

Are those streets the same size as what is generally seen in the US? They look so tiny in your pictures.

oh gods no. That street is lucky to be as wide as a single standard US lane. Also, that is a main sub division feeder street. so it is wider than most.
