Wow, that is awesome. I can't believe that that is so cheap. That's cheaper than Taco Bell!

Bicycle parking lot near Okegawa Station.
-
riding the bike away from Okegawa station towards our house. I was going to record the entire thing, but my phone ran out of free space.
It is so rough because I was holding the phone while also holding the handle bars.
The building I point at is the elementary school my daughter is in.
-
Went for a walk and ended up passing that Udon shop where I had lunch.
-
Also found that CocaCola is based out of Okegawa for East Japan.
Building had a decent design but was too dark for my iPhone. So you only get to see a sign.
-
Just got back to work after an interview... Not really sure how it went.

Waiting on my CIO to bring me a thin client to test out with our VDI setup.

What clients and VDI are you using?
-
Whatever we have in stock from a previous (failed) deployment by someone else...
And I'm running Hyper-V 2012 R2 for the RDVH hosts and Windows 8.1 (right now) for the VDI desktops (this will likely change to Windows 10 in the next few weeks).
Using Pooled (non-persistent) VDI with User Profile Disks for storage...
Host servers are Dell R720s w/256GB Ram, 1.2 RAW SSD storage (RAID 6 + hot spare gives me about 800 GB Usable), and 2 x NVIDIA GRID K2's for the Graphics Intensive stuff.
We're trying to get away from VMware View. Did a bunch of tweaking and got the performance up to snuff enough that the CIO likes it, so I'm happy... To start with, we'll be replacing around 100 desktops... we plan to go up to as many as we can... If it works well enough, we'll see a couple of thousand users on it.
(We already have a second R720 w/same specs ready to be spun up and added to the mix).

I'd like to know how well flash based pages work on it. I've never had anything but problems with Flash based pages. And sure, while they are going away, they are definitely not gone yet.

I find that if you don't install Flash, they work great everywhere

Right now, we're using whatever the browsers support out of the box. Sadly, this does include Flash for Chrome and Internet Explorer. I am unsure about Firefox, as I don't have that in the live image yet.
But I'm done today... Tomorrow's Schedule includes figuring out why slightly older programs that work in Windows 7 don't work in Windows 8.1, lol... Which usually leads up to ACT hacks or either software updates.

It just hit 30c in the office and I have retreated to the AC'd server room with my laptop. Do not tell my co-workers or there will be a riot.
-
Why is it so warm? AC broken?
-
@mlnews No one here puts AC in anything but a luxury home or a server closet

NBC news just announced that thanks to Change.org (WOOT!!!) Donald Trump is fired from Celebrity Apprentice. We are very proud of these little victories.

Grr, I damn well hate the auto sensing country code that websites use. Can you all get with the program and do more than just look at my f'n IP address?
My PC regional settings are US. My current IP is in Japan. So all my default sites are now Japan. I do not want this. For a 2 week location, changing this stuff is a pain in the ass.
