Went from 10 calls most waiting for responses to questions before we can call to 20 in the last 10 minutes all different issues unrealated. and I' m by myself basically
Better busy than bored.
yeah and I'm troubleshooting why a terminal keeps losing connection to the master terminal and causing me this headache, Its an intermittent problem.
Just talked to the Sites IT Consultant.
He said " this is a mess. You're network is intertwined withHospitality Wifi Solutions
so if you restart the switch (I want to power cycle and see if the connection clears up.) then you'll drop the Guest Wifi for the hotel, The wifi for the restaurant, Your network, this other business inside the site thats a Grocery Store..."

If you're going through a dumb switch, it could be flaky / failing. Move to another port. If it stabilizes, replace it.
See above ^
LOL
That was what I was thinking and wanted to try anyway! but.. I was told it's managed by another company. -

NIC's are failing every month and a half basically for the last half a year, Some how , and IDK what could be causing that.

I asked you what are the clients doing, and you repeated that the NIC's were failing.
That's not an answer to the question.

Not at all. you said " Doing what"
and I repeated in different wording because I didn't think you understood..Nothing about "what are your clients doing? " be more specific if you plan to be an ass.

I didn't plan on being an ass, I was asking what was your client doing to cause nics to fail every month and a half. That's very clearly understood in "doing what?" with the context of your post.

OK I guess I thought the latter,
At any rate, IDK what they're doing. every month and half they call in with issues related to internet and POS network.
We have replaced both NICs 2 different times in the last months and then today they called back.Something is obviously wrong with this PC.

Are you taking the NICs back to the office and seeing if they act weird on systems there? Could be a bad PCI bus.

Have we tested them ? IDK
I haven't taken this call prior. was always someone else. -

I haven't taken this call prior. was always someone else.Well the likelihood of multiple NICs failing within a month and a half is essentially non-zero. I would think that the system/workstation/what-ever-the-hell is defective and needing to be replaced.
I'd check with your cohorts and see if they aren't just throwing out the NICs and instead testing them.
-
@WrCombs Bad power; or they have transient power spikes on the network cables/poe switch or the PC. See if you can check your power and grounding withthe building/maintenance person, if they have one. We had a rash of nic's on dock stations failing (of all things) in one of our offices; we thought it was the docks but then we replaced the piece of dog poop UPS the switches were on and haven't had a problem since.

User sends calendar invite to entire company + one person who is on the company distribution list.
Their justification " well I'm not going to open a dl of 200 ppl to see their availability"..
Uh okay... Why not just create a separate calendar invite to check that one employees availability then?

Exporting Hyper-V guests to a samba share on Fedora 30.
Next step will be conversion to qcow2 and KVM VM creation.
