ASL?
-
American Sign Language.
We had a deaf person join our social group Christmas 2012. Since then my wife immediately signed up for a Fun with Sign Language class (which taught SEE -Signing Exact English). it was great for the basics, numbers, letters, some animals, foods, etc. As a non credit course it wasn't very challenging. We decided to sign up for ASL 1, that was still fairly easy, but keep a good pace. ASL 2, things are a lot harder, many more words thrown at you. The hardest part is learning the facial another other expressions that go along with the vocabulary. I haven't spent nearly enough time practicing outside of class as I should and it's showing. Of course, as luck would have it.. my few part time clients kicked it into high gear during this semester, so that didn't help any... oh well.. I'm pretty sure I'll pass, and will need to definitely study more in ASL 3.
