What Are You Doing Right Now
-
Back to work after a day off yesterday, I took a me day. And I'm so glad I did. Yesterday was so wonderful from start to finish! I better have enjoyed it because it's not gonna happen again for a LONG time. Just found out this morning that my co-worker starting on Tues is off indefinitely! She's having shoulder surgery, so now the brunt of the workload lands on me and all my other things I MUST keep on top of.
Oh why did I come back

Trying to employ the 'last place looked' to find some parts I'm in need of. I know they are here,.. on my desk,...- the other desk,... the one buried in stuff.. It pretty much has to be here... in theory. Hmm...
I need a Remember-all.....or something.

Been posting on Spiceworks the past few days. Six HPs and two BAs so far. Mostly in the printers group. I forgot how easy it was for me to get those in that group.

Sadly, no... The Rememberall only shows a cloud of red smoke when you have forgotten something... The only trouble is that you can't remember what you forgot!

I am waiting on people to come and help me finish up a software install on my VDI image.
Using Server 2012R2 and Hyper-V for the base... It seems to work halfway decently, much to my suprise! I'm not getting as good of performance out of the Graphics as I want (NVIDIA GRID K2) in the VMs, but it works "well enough" for a test drive. Big boss is doing a demo today at 3.

Are you reading it to them over the phone like a bedtime story?

Found the first victim of the power outage the other day. Dell R210 II, found powered up, fans screaming, throwing codes on it's little screen thingy. No one seems to care enough to ask about it so I'll wait and see.

We had some crazy lightening at the beginning of the week here (now it's snowing). We must of gotten hit a night because our DC voltage thing for the old phone system is now pushing about half the amount of power as it should be. Thankfully this is the telcom's equipment and the only thing we use it for are the fire alarm systems.

Honestly I'm not entirely sure. It's one we keep the lights on and network for but don't manage directly. I'm 100% positive it's not backed up in any meaningful way. No one has cared enough to ask about it in almost 48h so it'll likely remain off until they do. I sent a FYI email to the relevant parties earlier, still no reply. If anything comes of it, we might get to bill out some hours for diag. Exactly zero concerned either way lol

@Minion-Queen Super jealous, I'd do that in a heart beat!!
