Anyone wondering why I'm not posting on SW, my account was deactivated. So won't be seeing anything from me there.

That is definitely a bummer. I always got great information of your reply's and comments on SW posts. Any idea what happened? Are you going to focus more on MangoLassi now?

@magicmarker The same thing that is happening to all people that aren't there to simply buy into the marketing, is forcing them out so only gullible people are left there or those that refuse to step on vendor toes.
-
@dustinb3403 I go months without looking at that site.

Yeah is like a county fair. Vendor after vendor lining up to sell you junk you don't need. It's not an IT community, it's just a big marketing platform, pulling the old bait n switch maneuver... sucking you in by promising to solve your IT issues, then turning you into a client to marketers and vendors. It's really a disgusting platform when you think about it. ML is the way to go.

Ever since I found ML a couple years ago, I bet I looked at that site about 2-3 times. It's a shame too, since it used to be good back in the day. Now, I just don't have the time for all the marketing fluff and bogus conversations on there. I need real, meaningful, technical discussions that solve problems. ML has that, without all of the marketing jazz. That's why I stay. The discussions here on ML has done so much for me in regards to learning real stuff, and keeping up to date on the latest tech.

I feel a bit more relaxed already. Took a few hours, but honestly I've been expecting it since you got your letter. I was pretty surprised that I had not gotten it yet. So when I saw the email at lunch, I knew what it was immediately.

You know, it's funny, I made sure that I was kept on continuous moderation to ensure that everything that I posted was verified one post at a time so that nothing questionable could make it through. So it's a bit fishy, as I know now for sure that it wasn't based on my posting - that we managed to prove. Which in reality we always knew, it was never about the posting. That was just a convenient excuse until the full moderation went into effect. Now we know that everything I've posted was checked one post at a time and deemed good (or else I had to edit it.)

@NerdyDad's post was pretty awesome, too.
I'm sure that there were lots of them that were great, but I only see ones that are sent to me.
