Yup, I had a 110 day streak recently. It's a great and free tool.
I was way happy with it at first but I mainly use it on my phone. I recently discovered that for Iphone users it has this "health" bar and on android it doesn't.
If you make a mistake it take away a "life" and you only get 4 chances.
Then I can either pay to restore health or wait 8hrs and by that time I've forgotten or I don't have the time.
I've used it for a long time on iPhone and have never seen that. That's nothing like my iPhone DuoLingo experience. It never, ever has made me wait for anything.

And I've never, ever had to pay anything, except to pay to keep a streak going after it has expired. but I can study as many times per day as I want. Which is often a lot.

Oh wow that's crazy. Is it only like that on iPhone? I have it for Android and don't remember that, but it's been like a month or so since I've used it.

I've never seen a health indicator anywhere in the app. I just fired it up, and nothing like that. You get this during normal lessons?

I know that's why I stopped using it. I get a streak and then I just forget.

Did you sign up for a paid account at some point? Are there some custom account settings to make it more challenging?

I'm wondering if everyone is on the same app version. Those little "pay this to get that" features are usually the only thing they update.

He's definitely doing something different than everyone else.
Is it language or lesson specific? Is it all lessons?
