ML is slow today, where is everyone?
I've been up too late several nights and needed to catch up.
I know the feeling. I went to "bed" at 1:30 last night. Olivia woke me up at 1:45 and cried for 2 hours. I put her to bed again and then she woke up again an hour later. I got a total of 2 hrs last night. Pretty sure she is coming down with something.
Ahh.. So glad my kids are older. However, This December our youngest is 13, my daughter is 14, my son is 16 and our oldest is 17. I am not sure what I would rather deal with. At least I get to sleep somewhat better at night.
I don't think I could deal with that many tbh. We're definitely done and not having anymore (for more reasons than just not wanting more). I think the pure volume of children/teenage drama that you have to deal with would be too much for me.

@quixoticjeremy meh... I was petrified when I was your age that I would have to deal with teenagers, now that I am older, hit 40 next week, it isn't that big of a deal.

Makes sense, and yep that is about where I stand right now, petrified of the day she's a teenager.

Youngest starts pre-k and the oldest is going into 2nd grade. We don't qualify for school pre-K, so we're doing the whole "homeschool" thing for him. Both kids were excited for school to start.

This all makes me glad that birth control is cheap, effective, and covered by insurance. But I might consider having kids if you could crate train them without CPS getting upset.

It doesn't take too long to teach them "go lie down", "kennel", and "don't make me get the spray bottle".

My daughter just turned 1 in July. It's been one of the most fun and rewarding things I've done. Even sitting up with her for the night with her screaming wasn't the terrible experience that everyone made it out to be.

Eh, my plan is to raise someone who can think for themselves prior to that time. Makes the whole being manipulated by your peers thing a bit easier to deal with. Although I'm sure that's every parent's plan.

It's true. It's well worth it. Just need that extra coffee in the morning is all.

It's like the example of the alcoholic father, there are plenty of people that had alcoholic parents that either became alcoholics themselves or used it as a driving force to never become an alcoholic themselves. Everyone is their own person, sure we may be predisposed to certain things but at the end of the day we're each our own person still and make our own choices.
