@hobbit666 Good... once you get your grips with Docker, write up a how to for the rest of us, lol.
I was but getting bloody confused now lol.
The main aim why i'm looking at this is an easy way of getting Zabbix, Unifi, Snipe-IT and possibly Screenconnect to run on a single Linux VM on a ESXi host.
If you want to do that, it might be easier to start with LXC. They aren't as separated as docker (one app per container) and you can have a console in the container just like a normal system.
-
LXC mostly replaced OpenVZ and those two are generally considered far more useful than Docker for most companies and scenarios.
-
Posting from Linux.... and so the adventure begins.

Thanks

I have killed two centipedes this morning

I can't believe that another day and another... "I don't understand why RAID 5 is bad" post. Seriously? They see that it has been discussed ad nauseum but can't read the threads, follow the links or apply simple logic but need to ask the same freaking question again?
-
Forgot my glasses at home, but determined to have an awesome day today. Work's xmas party is tonight at a fancy hotel and I'm going to enjoy it.

Where in TX are you?
I have friends who live in Austin and apparently scorpions are a major thing there.

One of my biggest fears.
Forgetting glasses, not holiday parties.

I think it is funny how we can go a week or two with none of these types of posts, then have like 8 of them in one day.

I can't wear contacts... my eyes become so red and painful with contacts in.

The secret is to drive to it so you can't imbibe. Drinking at these things is how you get into trouble.

Eh, after a long day at work the last thing I generally want to do is spend more time around people... not to sound like a dick but being around people is more exhausting then the actual work.

Fully agree, but it's an investment of your time. These things are not really parties as much as they are social engineering opportunities for the advancement of your career.
-
For someone who works from home I LOVE social things to do with people (no @art_of_shred and @Mike-Ralston don't always count). But I am super social.
Social situations are where you do solidify career advancement.
