And it goes way bigger than eight sockets.
OMG I'm out of date. That was the T5. And the T7 is out now, I need to look up the new specs.

Hrm.... 32 cores, 8 threads per core, 1 fpu per core, 64MB L3 cache, 2-8 cpu per system, 8 TB max RAM in an M7-8. That's 2048 threads per system. Reminds me of the old SGI Onyx systems sporting thousands of cores.

IBM, Oracle and HPE all still make those. HPE SuperDome, for example, starts at a full rack in size.
